The subsidiary Terminal Graneles del Norte S.A. (TGN) was formed in 2008. This arose when Puerto Angamos was awarded the contract to construct a Solid Bulk Terminal for the Mejillones Port Complex.
TGN unloaded its first test vessel in November 2010, ahead of the contract deadline.
TGN officially began operations on January 15, 2011 and received four bulk cargo vessels during February.
Terminal Graneles del Norte transferred over 3 million tons during 2014, with the highest performance in the industry, to become the most efficient bulk terminal in the north of Chile.
